The population of Indonesia was 251,160,124 in July 2013 when compared to the rest of the world, Indonesia ranks number 4 in the world, right under the US. When compared to the US, Indonesia is has 81.8% of the population of the US. The population is evenly spread throughout rural and urban areas, with 50.7% of the total population living in Urban areas.The capital of Indonesia is Jakarta and has a population of 9.121 million people, while the city of Medan has 2.131 million people, in 2009.
